Colin Montgomerie

Rejuvenated since turning 50 and joining the Seniors circuit (playing on both the Champions Tour and the European Seniors Tour), Colin Montgomerie looks very different to the man who so often just missed out on Major glory on the main tour.

Already with three Senior Major titles to his name, the 2014 US Senior Open winner is more than capable of rolling back the years and turning on the type of golf that won him eight European Order of Merit titles in the past.

Starting the weekend eight shots off the pace at Scioto Country Club, that could well be exactly what it takes too.

Montgomerie will need to improve significantly on his rounds of 71 and 70 from the first two days if he’s to make his mark, but with a game that has always been suited to US Open style courses, don’t rule out the Scot from making a charge from deep in the pack.
