This grouping features two of the last tournament winners, Hideki Matsuyama (2016) and Brooks Koepka (2015).

Matsuyama is one of golf’s top players and continues to show it with his success on the course. In addition to winning last years Waste Management Phoenix Open, Matsuyama won this years World Golf Championship-HSBC Champions tournament. Matsuyama is having a poised year finishing in three top 10’s and securing one win in 5 events played. Look for Hideki to make a run at first and defend his title. He is very much capable of doing so.

Brooks Koepka’s first ever tour win came at the 2015 Waste Management Phoenix Open when he shot a 15-under tournament, one stroke ahead of Matsuyama. Koepka has played in three events so far this season and finished 2nd at the Shriners Hospital for Children Open back in November. Koepka, 26 years old, is one of the games top young guys as he searches for his 2nd career win here at TPC Scottsdale.

Daniel Berger’s best finish this year came at the WGC-HSBC Champions when he finished runner up to playing partner Hideki Matsuyama. Berger has played in five events this season only picking up one top 10 finish. Berger looks to pick up his second win on tour this week.
