Look for Jaye Marie Green to improve on her 2016 Kia Classic finish.

When we get to Group 4 it’s crystal ball time.

Nelly Korda has been having a standout rookie year and she’s certainly worth a look: 3 starts, 3 checks, and a top 5 finish. Could you ask for more from a rookie?

At the other end of the spectrum, Juli Inkster isn’t finished competing. Still, she’s risky – 3 missed cuts in the last 4 Kia classic starts. But there’s something compelling about 56-year old Captain Inkster slugging it out with the players who’ll eventually fill out her Team USA at at the Solheim Cup.

Madelene Sagstrom is the most highly touted of the 2017 rookies and even though she has yet to make a cut and play the weekend at an LPGA event she’ll surely get into the game soon. Sagstrom’s problem may be that she’s dividing her time between LPGA and LET events. She finished inside the top 20 at the LET’s Oates Vic Open, a very respectable performance much more in line with preseason expectations. How much do you like to gamble?

Jaye Marie Green rounds out my featured picks in Group 4. She made the cut at the Kia Classic last year after missing the two previous years. I think she has the golf course figured out, and I think she’s ready to improve on her performance. I’m going to give her a chance.
