Alexander Levy – OWGR 108

The Frenchman will be coming to the tee this week looking for his first 2017 win. He got close (T4) at the Maybank Championship in February but he hasn’t taken home any hardware since he won the Porsche European Open in a playoff against Ross Fisher last September.

Levy has already mastered Genzon once. He won the 2014 Volvo China Open, so he knows what it’s going to take to best Old Man Par as well as the rest of the Shenzhen International field this week.

He consistently plays both the Volvo China Open and the Shenzhen International and tends to finish high in one or the other of the two events each year, which are typically scheduled back-to-back.

Alexander Levy delivers a consistent game of golf off the tee, tee-to-green, and on the putting surface. When all the cards are signed, I wouldn’t be surprised to see his name on the top of the board.

Golf Channel will provide coverage of all four rounds of the Shenzhen International for US European Tour fans. Get the broadcast schedule in our Around the Tours article.

Some fantasy managers may question why I’ve not tapped Kiradech Aphibarnrat, the 2015 Shenzhen International champion, and Bubba Watson, the highest ranked player in the field, for my team. Aphibarnrat hasn’t played a European Tour event since the Hero Indian Open last December and Watson doesn’t have a high finish record in his three Shenzhen International appearances. I’m not looking for much from either of them.
