William McGirt — $7,900

McGirt, an alumnus of countless mini-tours across the South, has defied the odds and become one of the PGA Tour’s better players. Ranked 50th in the world to start the year, his results have taken a sharp turn for the better over the past few weeks, so expect him to turn in a good showing at the Wells Fargo Championship.

McGirt has racked up three top 25 finishes in his last three starts: a tie for ninth at the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play, a tie for 22nd at the Masters and a tie for third at the RBC Heritage. That solid play has lifted him to the 52nd spot on the FedEx Cup points list, so he’s on pace for a deep playoff run. Statistically speaking, he’s not exactly a juggernaut, but at third on the PGA Tour in driving accuracy and 22nd in greens in regulation, he should have his share of opportunities this week. Although he’s a proud South Carolinian, he’s got no shortage of experience playing in the Tar Heel State.

At $7,900 in DraftKings, McGirt could make a lot of sense in the middle of your lineup. He’s been hitting it solidly ever since his win at last year’s Memorial Tournament, and his recent hot streak appears to be the real deal.
