Francesco Molinari — No. 34

For years, this Italian made a habit out of stubbornly turning down PGA Tour membership, but now that he’s a full-fledged cardholder with an entire season under his belt, fantasy managers can make better use of him. Molinari’s game is a great fit for tricky tracks like TPC Sawgrass, so he makes a lot of sense for your lineup this week.

With a great surge of form lasting throughout the fall and winter, Molinari has been trending well for months now. He took a small step backward with lackluster finishes at the Masters and WGC-Match Play, but with back-to-back top 25s heading into this week, he appears to have regained momentum. In both of those starts, he was one of the top 10 players in the field in strokes gained: tee-to-green, so he’s definitely playing well enough to keep it going. TPC Sawgrass can trip up even the best of golfers, but with a top 10 in each of his last two trips to THE PLAYERS Championship, Molinari is a reliable option.

At $7,700 in DraftKings, Molinari is a relative bargain for the amount of course history he brings to the table. TPC Sawgrass may have a new look this year, but it appears that this 34-year-old will be as productive as ever.
