Graeme McDowell — No. 83

This Ulsterman hasn’t been on the first page of many leaderboards this season, but he’s still managed to be remarkably steady. He’ll probably never regain his U.S. Open-winning form from 2010, but for our purposes, McDowell looks like a great option for THE PLAYERS Championship this week.

More from Pro Golf Now

McDowell has racked up eight top-30 finishes in just 10 starts this year, but not a single one of those has been in the top 10. That makes for a curious string of recent results — he’s clearly been impressive, but the fact that he’s failed to get over the hump in so many starts is somewhat discouraging. Still, at seventh on the PGA Tour in driving accuracy and 10th in strokes gained: putting, the veteran still has a few tricks up his sleeve. Like many in this week’s field, his history at TPC Sawgrass is uneven, but his tie for ninth at last year’s event was certainly an encouraging sign.

At $6,700 in DraftKings, McDowell has the potential to be the biggest value play of the week. It’s a long way down from the game’s elite level, but if this former top-five player can continue to hit it well, he won’t be available at this good of a price for long.
