Brandt Snedeker

Official World Ranking: 32

FedEx Cup: 43

Best Nelson Finish: T-6, 2015

Brandt Snedeker is returning to action after missing THE PLAYERS with a minor hand injury. While a month-long layoff is never something you like to see from a top contender on Tour, there’s plenty of reason to expect that Snedeker can pull it together here at TPC Four Seasons.

More from Pro Golf Now

So far this season, the Vanderbilt alum is 9-for-11 in cuts made, and he’s turned six of those into top-25 performances. That might not be a total surprise to Snedeker’s followers, but considering all the nagging injuries, aches and pains, it’s still a reassuring stat.

Beyond the tournament results, most of Snedeker’s stats aren’t that amazing, but it’s the consistency he’s developed that makes the difference. What he’s doing right, though, is the typical Snedeker process. Currently ranked 20th in scrambling and 26th in adjusted scoring, Snedeker finds success by basically avoiding the big, blowup number. That has paid off at Las Colinas with a three-for-five record, including a tie for sixth two years ago.

Expectations are tempered for Snedeker considering his layoff, but I expect his run of solid golf to continue this week.
