Mason Andersen (a) (No. 1970-World Amateur Golf Ranking)
- Last start: T-10: Arizona Stroke Play Championship
- 2016 U.S. Open: DNP
18-year-old Mason Andersen is fresh out of high school and will take his talents to Arizona State in the fall, but not before teeing it up in the U.S Open first. He shot 64-70 at the Newport Beach sectional to qualify for Erin Hills.
Derek Barron (No. 1927)
- Last start: T-12: Bayview Place Cardtronics Open (Mackenzie Tour-PGA TOUR Canada)
- 2016 U.S. Open: DNP
32-year-old Derek Barron doesn’t play that much golf but when he does, he does play well. He shot 7-under to take medalist honors at the the Lakewood, Washington sectional and finished tied for 18th on the Mackenzie Tour in Canada the night before his qualifier. He then went out and finished 12th in the Bayview Place Cardtronics Open as a tune-up. Hey, you never know, right?
Roman Robledo (No. 1927)
- Last start: MC: National Capital Open to Support Our Troops (Mackenzie Tour-PGA TOUR Canada)
- 2016 U.S. Open: DNP
25-year-old Roman Robledo, who played collegiately at the University of Houston, took medalist honors in Dallas and will be playing in his first U.S. Open. He hasn’t played an official tournament in 2017.

Sam Ryder (No. 292)

Web.com Tour regular Sam Ryder qualified for his first U.S. Open by shooting 11-under at the Rockville, Maryland sectional to win medalist honors. He’s played 11 events in 2017 and has finished in the top 10 three times, including his most recent start at the Rust-Oleum Championship.

Alex Smalley (a) (No. 133-World Amateur Golf Ranking)

Soon-to-be Duke senior Alex Smalley shared medalist honors at the Ball Ground, Georgia sectional with a 7-under total and will be playing in his first U.S. Open at the age of 20.
Andy Pope (No. 1428)

- 2016 U.S. Open: MC
Andy Pope has played in just two tournaments since his missed cut at last year’s U.S. Open — he tied for 17th at the Rex Hospital Open and just recently missed the cut at the Rust-Oleum Championship on the Web.com Tour — but his will be his third consecutive start at this championship. He tied for 70th in 2015 at Chambers Bay.
