Here are five groups to watch at the Quicken Loans National, this week’s stop on the PGA TOUR.

The Quicken Loans National is going to have a very tough time living up to what the Travelers Championship gave PGA TOUR fans this past weekend but 120 players will give it a shot in the annual event to benefit the Tiger Woods Foundation.

This year’s event will take place at TPC Potomac at Avenel Farm, which hasn’t hosted a PGA TOUR event since the Booz Allen Classic (formerly the Kemper Open) in 2006. The Quicken Loans National, which was created in 2007 as the AT&T National, has been held at famed Congressional Country Club seven times since its inception and will return in 2018. TPC Potomac is the third course to host this tournament in the past three years.

World No. 9 Rickie Fowler, who’s coming off a tie for fifth at the U.S. Open, leads the field this week and will be playing alongside Canadian Adam Hadwin and Australian Marc Leishman in the first two rounds. This is Fowler’s first start since Erin Hills.

Also in the field this week is world No. 12 Justin Thomas, he of the record-breaking 63 at Erin Hills, and he’ll be looking to get back on track after missing the cut at the Travelers last week. He’ll be paired with Kevin Chappell and Wesley Bryan on Thursday and Friday.

Joining Fowler and Thomas from the top 20 in the world is the always-interesting Patrick Reed, currently ranked 17th, who had a great showing at Erin Hills and followed it up with a top-five finish in Cromwell this past weekend. He’ll be paired with two former FedExCup champions, Billy Horschel and Bill Haas, for the first 36 holes.

Let’s take a closer look at some of the featured groups at the 2017 Quicken Loans National.
