Thornberry Creek LPGA Classic
A weather delay disrupted the second round at Thornberry Creek and that means the incomplete second round will have to be completed before the third round can be played today. Because the weather extended into Friday evening, it also means the golf course is going to be softened up for moving day action.

As the sun rises in Wisconsin Katherine Kirk seems to have a firm grip on the top of the leaderboard. The Aussie followed her first round 68 with a very fine 63 and will go into her third round today with a three shot edge over Jaye Marie Green.
Kirk hasn’t hoisted a trophy since the 2010 Navistar LPGA Classic and Green is still looking for her first Tour victory, so this will be an important round for both of them.
Starting her third round at 9-under, Moriya Jutanugarn continues to challenge, as does England’s Georgia Hall who at 7-under is showing a solid game that’s going to strengthen her possibility for success at both the U.S. Open and the Solheim Cup. Bronte Law, my favorite fantasy team pick is also sitting at 7-under this morning.
Charley Hull and Catriona Matthew are among those who’ll be sitting out the weekend, along with Ariya Jutanugarn, who simply withdrew from competition after her stunning disappointing first round +8.
Check the LPGA electronic leaderboard for updates on the disrupted second round and third round tee times at Thornberry Creek. Golf Channel begins broadcast at 5:30pm ET.
