2017 RBC Canadian Open: Top DraftKings picks at Glen Abbey
Don’t look now, but Ian Poulter is starting to get his groove back. After technically losing his PGA TOUR membership earlier this season, Poulter is on a streak of nine straight worldwide cuts made. Ranked as low as 207th in the world after the Honda Classic, Poulter is now up to No. 71 in the Official Ranking, and he’s looked more and more like his old self again.
If you look at some of Poulter’s season-long stats, the message could come off a bit clouded. He’s ranked just 99th on the PGA TOUR in greens-in-regulation percentage. However, Poulter ranked fourth in the field in GIR at the FedEx St. Jude Classic in June, and has been slowly working his way back into shape. The trends, on that front at least, seem to all be moving in the right direction.
This week will mark Poulter’s debut at Glen Abbey, and unlike last week at Royal Birkdale, the forecast looks mostly pleasant. There is a little more wind than usual predicted for Friday, but other than that, friendly conditions should greet players all week. That will help keep conditions ripe for scoring throughout.
Priced at $8,700, Poulter’s fantasy value is clearly on the rise alongside his real-world fortunes. Get in while the getting is good, and reap the benefits at the RBC Canadian Open.
