The Frenchman hasn’t hoisted a trophy since the 2015 Turkish Airlines Open and I know he has designs on the 2018 Ryder Cup. He needs to deliver a game that catches Captain Thomas Bjørn’s eye and Made in Denmark would be the ideal opportunity to do that.

Dubuisson has been having a rather lackluster season but he seemed to be returning to form at the Paul Lawrie Match Play last week. His top-20 finish gave me hope that he’s finding his rhythm and is ready to challenge for the top of the board.

This will be Dubuisson’s Made in Denmark debut, so he’s coming in at a bit of a disadvantage over the players who are more familiar with the Himmerland track. But Dubuisson is a talented players who should be able to get a fix on the golf course quickly.

If you’re concerned about his missed cuts at the Irish Open and the Scottish Open – both tests of links golf skill – you might want to consider Nacho Elvira or Alexander Knappe. The oddsmakers have Dubuisson and Elvira running about the same and while Knappe is a bit less favored than either of them he did have a very nice T26 finish at the Scottish Open.
