The best golf courses in the world are iconic, but some clubhouses are just as legendary, and Woods Hole Golf Club’s renovation of their classic clubhouse is a great example.

Massachusetts is no stranger to great golf courses, with The Country Club and TPC Boston alone being among the best in the world.

Woods Hole Golf Club is yet another legendary course, that was designed in 1899 on a beautiful rolling landscape that resembles that of a links course. The clubhouse has been just as iconic as the course itself, and a new tradition will begin as the building received an amazing makeover.

As you can tell, the clubhouse is full of classic and luxurious interior design by Dallas-based Wilson Associates. Much like the golf course, it tells a story of history and the guys at Wilson did a great job of rekindling that historic feeling.

You’ll no doubt be treated to great service once you enter the clubhouse before and after rounds. The interior gives you a warm, cozy feeling, perfect for cooling off after a fun round at Woods Hole.

The clubhouse features numerous lounge areas, with nice views of the surrounding area. There’s also a bar where you can enjoy a drink or two.

The dining room is also stunning, where members can enjoy some Cape Cod cuisine. With numerous pieces of art all around the clubhouse, it adds to the classical nature of the club.

If you’d like to go outside and take in the Cape Cod scenery, there are three outdoor porches where you can relax before and after rounds. This coincides beautifully with the bar and restaurant.

One of the coolest things about the Woods Hole clubhouse is the fact they maintained some key artifacts from the club’s past. From trophies to artwork, to furniture, there’s a slice of history for everyone that steps foot in the clubhouse.

Golf is all about history and the Woods Hole clubhouse showcases the game’s rich history in America beautifully. Overall, with a nice combination of luxury, and history, and a great course to play, Woods Hole clubhouse is an A+.

It’s an architectural masterpiece that’s appealing to all ages, history buffs, golf fans and architecture fans. If you love architecture, you have a great clubhouse to compliment a beautifully designed golf course. Woods Hole’s clubhouse is one of the best in the country.
