Waste Management Phoenix Open: DraftKings Fantasy Picks
Very rarely do I go for the highest salary of the week as a top value pick. But this week is obviously a unique circumstance. The field is super top-heavy, featuring not only Matsuyama, but also the likes of Jordan Spieth, Justin Thomas, Jon Rahm and Rickie Fowler.
All are expensive options in DraftKings play this week, so if you’re going to go to that five-figure level, you would be best served going all-in with Matsuyama.

A two-time defending champion at TPC Scottsdale, Matsuyama also has a runner-up in 2015, and a fourth-place finish in his 2014 debut. He’s got the Stadium Course’s number, and with that kind of resume, you’d almost be a fool not to tie your fortunes to Matsuyama’s.
The fifth-ranked player in the Official World Ranking, Matsuyama has recovered quickly from a somewhat disappointing finish to the 2016-17 season. In four starts this season, he has three top-15 finishes, and he heads to Phoenix on the heels of a three-under 69 to close the Farmers Insurance Open. Matsuyama also ranks 13th on TOUR in strokes gained: tee-to-green, and he’ll be even better as he heads to TPC Scottsdale.
