Alexander Levy enters as the field’s highest-ranked player. At No. 63, Levy has about a month or so to get inside the world top 50 to get into the Masters.

On a more longterm scale, Levy could use a high finish this week to keep racking up Ryder Cup points for this year’s edition in his native France.

Through it all, the fiery 27-year-old should do his best to stay in the moment. He’s played well in recent weeks, accumulating three top-tens while making all four cuts in 2018. Fifteen of his 16 rounds this season have been under par.

“I just feel my game is there, and I just need to put my mind in a good way. I think it’s only that, and try to enjoy and don’t try too hard to have the results, and just enjoy,” Levy said after finishing fourth in Dubai. “We have a nice life and I played good some golf, so just enjoy.”

Levy is eighth on the European Tour in greens in regulation averaging over 14 a round. He’s also 30th in putts per GIR and 19th in scrambling.

Levy finally broke through for a T57 in Qatar last year after three missed cuts. All signs point toward a much better result in 2018.
