Both of Brooks Koepka’s majors came at the U.S. Open, but he’s done plenty to prove he can contend at any of the four.

BK’s finished inside the top 25 in 11 (!) straight major starts including six top-10s. He’s made 16 straight cuts in the majors dating back to his days as a young pro in 2013.

He’ll be plenty rested going into this week. Koepka finished T19 at the Travelers the week after his U.S. Open and has hung out since.

After missing the opening of the season with a wrist injury, he’s looked completely healthy. He finished solo second at Colonial this spring and has made 17 cuts in a row worldwide dating back to March 2017.

The 28-year-old is also very familiar with Carnoustie.

At the Dunhill Links, Koepka finished T50 in 2013 (70 at Carnoustie), T9 in 2014 (70) and T2 in 2015 (72).

Koepka is 30th in strokes gained off the tee on the PGA Tour. If it turns into a shootout, he’s seventh in birdie average.

Helping him make birdies is the fact that he’s seventh in proximity on approaches 200 yards or more.

His driving accuracy isn’t great overall, but he was peppering fairways at his win at Shinnecock.

Based on course history, form and performance in majors, Koepka will be a popular pick this week.
