Richard McEvoy pulled off a rare feat: winning on the Challenge Tour in one week and the European Tour the next.

The English journeyman has been pro for well over a decade and has bounced between Europe’s top two tours.

After prevailing at Le Vaudreuil Golf Challenge, he rode the hot hand all the way to a win with the big boys at the Porsche European Open.

His triumphs bumped him up over 300 spots in the world rankings.

McEvoy is hoping he’s still got lightning in a bottle after a couple weeks off.

He’s an accurate driver (35th), so he should be able to navigate around the tree line that will make life difficult for wayward hitters.

McEvoy was top-10 in driving accuracy, greens in regulation and putts per GIR in his win at the European Open.

The 39-year-old is known as one of the good guys on Tour and has drawn admiration for sticking out an up-and-down career. Let’s see what he can do playing with a little house money.
