KLM Open: Power ranking the top ten golfers at The Dutch
After missing out on the weekend fun in his first time at The Dutch, Eddie Pepperell figured it out in his return trip.
The Englishman fired four rounds in the 60s, including a Sunday co-low 65, to finish T3 (-13) and two off the winning score.
Perhaps more relevant is the status of his game in recent weeks. Pepperell has three top-10s in his previous five starts, all of which are made cuts. His T6 at the Open Championship was his best finish to date in a major.
He took last week off, so he’ll be rested unlike much of the field which is playing back-to-back in adjacent tournaments in Switzerland and the Netherlands.
Pepperell nearly followed up his win early this year at the Qatar Masters when he placed solo second at the highly competitive Scottish Open.
At last year’s KLM Open, Pepperell finished eighth in the field in greens in regulation and was 18th in putts per GIR.
He ranks second in strokes gained approaching the green and is 27th in scrambling.
