Portugal Masters: Power ranking the top 10 at Dom Pedro
The Thunder Bear doesn’t have an illustrious record at the Portugal Masters, but his current form leads many to believe he can hoist the trophy.
A win would be his second in three months after winning the Rolex Series’ Italian Open in June. He’s had several other close calls, finishing T2 at the International Open, T6 at the Irish Open (another Rolex event), T3 at the WGC-Bridgestone and solo fourth at the Czech Masters.

His last start was a T20 a few weeks ago at his native Made in Denmark, so he’s coming in rested with his Ryder Cup debut looming next week.
Olesen has made four cuts in a row worldwide and five of his last six.
At Dom Pedro, Olesen five times in a row and has been inside the top 50 each time. Last year netted a T34. He fired a respectable 69-69-71-67 but couldn’t quite keep up with the birdie barrage.
Olesen ranks 15th on the European Tour in stroke average (69.83) and is an aggressive player like his countryman Lucas Bjerregaard.
Olesen is eighth in birdies per round (4.48), 16th in scrambling and 26th in putts per round.
He earned his way onto the European Ryder Cup team on points, but another win could further validate his appearance on captain Bjorn’s squad.
