Ryder Cup: Breaking down each member of Team USA
Koepka earned the No. 1 spot for this year’s U.S. Ryder Cup rankings by having a phenomenal PGA TOUR campaign. He only won two tournaments, but they were pretty important ones, to put it mildly. He won his second straight U.S. Open in June, and followed it up with a win at the PGA Championship in August.

Koepka blew the field away when it came to Ryder Cup points as well. He finished ahead of Dustin Johnson by 3749 points. Those two majors were the reason Koepka received so many points. They resulted in 8280 points by themselves, which would’ve left Koepka in 4th if he only played those two tournaments. Seems simple when you hear that, right?
His lone Ryder Cup appearance was a fantastic debut. He started off by winning a four-ball and a foursomes match. He then ran into the buzzsaw that was Rory McIlroy and Thomas Pieters, losing the Saturday afternoon four-ball match. He finished up his weekend with a dominant singles victory over Danny Willett, 5&4.
Everything this year seems to being going great for Koepka. He won two majors. He earned the first bid into the Ryder Cup. After a great 2016, he will be looking to make back to back impressive showings there. At the head of a very solid U.S. Ryder Cup team, watch for Brooks Koepka to continue his dominant 2018.
