Abraham Ancer Fantasy Golf DraftKings Mayakoba Golf Classic

Abraham Ancer heads to the Mayakoba Golf Classic in fine form, with a pair of top-tens on the season in his three starts. He recently finished tied for fourth at the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open, closing the event with a five-under round of 66.

Statistically, Ancer’s week at TPC Summerlin was a bit of a whirlwind. He had a tough week on approach, finishing outside the top-50 in the field in both Strokes Gained – Approach and greens in regulation. That being said, Ancer also made a remarkable 24 birdies on the week, so if you’re looking for scoring, you’d be hard-pressed to find many better options.

From a DraftKings perspective, Ancer has proven to be a strong play through each of his three starts in the new season. He’s averaging 99.0 fantasy points per start, which is an especially strong number when you take into account his relatively marginal salary of $8,400. I like to look for 1-1.5 points per $100 in salary, so that’s right up my alley.

Ancer has a bit of an added advantage from having a strong finish at Camaleon last year, as well. He finished tied for ninth in ’17, going 65-68 on the weekend. Start the 27-year-old former Oklahoma Sooner with confidence this week and enjoy the benefits.
