Through Day One of the Charles Schwab Challenge, Kevin Na found himself at T38. Looking to climb the leaderboard, Na greatly improved on his opening round of 70, by shooting an impressive -8 62 during Day Two.

The Charles Schwab Challenge started off pretty even-keel for Kevin Na. He put up two birdies along with two bogeys, and finished his round at an even par 70. While it wasn’t the start anyone would dream off, it still put him T38 after Day One.

Then Day Two came around, and Kevin Na came out like a totally different player. Heading to the 1st hole, he quickly took advantage of the Par-5, carding an eagle.

Not only was his approach game on fire today, but the putter was as well.

Na managed to hit 16 of 18 greens in regulation today, consistently putting himself in situations where he was able to score.

The hot putter sure helped. It didn’t seem like it mattered where he was at on the green, as the ball was going in once he struck his first putt. If he was ever inside ten feet, it was going in for sure, as he didn’t miss inside that range all day.

After the eagle on the first hole, Na faced putts of over 30 feet on both the 6th hole and the 9th hole. He drained both of them, finishing of the front with a -4 bogey free 31.

He wasn’t done there, and continued his hot play on the 10th hole with another birdie.

After a decent tee shot on the par-3 13th hole, Kevin Na decided to repeat his 31-footer from the 6th hole, draining another 31-footer on 13 to move him to -6 for the day.

The 15th hole continued Na’s run of not missing inside of ten feet. A great approach shot left him inside that range, and he knocked in his 5th birdie of the day.

He ended the day with another birdie. Able to convert his last birdie opportunity of the round, the birdie on 18 helped Kevin Na to finish -6 for the day, vaulting him way up the leaderboard. As of 11 AM Pacific Time, he sits in second place by himself, one shot behind the leader Jonas Blixt, who is at -9.

It’a been the best round of the day so far, with no one else even carding a 63. There are still a large amount of golfers left on the course, including 12 of the top 19 either playing or yet to tee off.

Although Na is likely to be passed by a couple of players by days end, it was still a fantastic day of golf. To play bogey free, and card six birdies and one eagle makes for a much more comfortable Friday night.
