Canadian Open: Top 10 power rankings at Hamilton G&CC
Dustin Johnson will have to defend his Canadian Open title at a different course. The RBC-sponsored player posted the tournament’s lowest score to par since 1952 when he went 23 deep to beat Byeong-hun An and Meen-whee Kim by three at Glen Abbey.
DJ’s proved plenty adaptable as that was one of over a dozen courses he’s won on in his career.

Johnson comes in with a couple weeks of rest after he snuck into contention for a solo second place finish at the PGA Championship. That helped him finish the career runner up slam as he also was T2 at this year’s Masters.
DJ has two worldwide wins in 2019 at the Saudi International on the European Tour and at the WGC-Mexico. The big hitter hasn’t missed a stroke play cut since the 2018 Open Championship and is up to eight top-10s in 12 starts this year.
Johnson leads the tour in total strokes gained (2.549) and us top 10 off the tee (third), putting (sixth) and tee to green (fourth).
He’s also first in sand saves (67.35%), which could pay off at a heavily bunkered course like this week.
This will be his first look at Hamilton. And based on recent history and form, it could be quite the enjoyable weekend for DJ at the Canadian Open.
