A business consulting company, Korn Ferry, has replaced Web.com as the title sponsor of the PGA Tour’s development tour. Korn Ferry has signed a 10-year deal with the PGA Tour. The new sponsorship begins immediately and runs through 2028.

Burnison said their goal with the sponsorship is to increase brand awareness around the world. PGA Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan said that they believe the partnership will promote Korn Ferry’s goal of helping businesses reach their potential.

"“We’re excited to partner with the PGA Tour. Our organizations are both all about talent – getting players and people to that next level and advancing their careers,” said CEO Gary Burnison in a prepared statement."

In addition to the title sponsorship of the developmental tour, now the Korn Ferry Tour, the company will sponsor the tour’s championship event in Newburg (Evansville), Indiana, which is the third and final event of the series.

As the primary entry to the PGA Tour, the Korn Ferry Tour golfers who are in the top 25 on the Tour at the end of the regular season will receive PGA Tour cards for 2020.

Then those who have not earned a PGA Tour card through the regular season or who want to improve their position on the entry list for PGA Tour events may, go on to the Korn Ferry Finals. In that three-event series, the top-75 on the Korn Ferry Tour, those PGA Tour players between 126–200 in 2019 FedEx points who are not otherwise exempt for the next season play the last three events with those in the top 25 from the season who opt to play.

The Finals, which become the Korn Ferry Finals, are the last three events on the tour’s 2019 calendar. They are the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Championship in Columbus, Ohio, the Albertsons Boise Open presented by Kraft Nabisco, and the Korn Ferry Tour Championship presented by United Leasing & Finance. The top 25 players at the end of the three-week series also receive PGA Tour cards for 2020.

Korn Ferry also has the title sponsorship of the Q-school. It is held in December and qualifies golfers to play the Korn Ferry Tour for 2020.

The company also becomes a PGA Tour marketing partner for leadership development.
