Adam Hadwin’s come close to the winner’s circle twice this season. He finished T-2 at the Desert Classic in January and got his 2019-2020 campaign off right with a solo second at the Safeway Open.

He’s positioned well in the FedEx Cup heading into the New Year thanks also to a T-4 at the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open. The Canadian is glad to be back on North American soil after disappointing finishes of T-41 and T-46 in Asia.

He’s coming off three weeks off. This is Hadwin’s third start at the RSM Classic after making the cut in 2011 and 2014.

Hadwin’s game sets up well for his game. He was 32nd last season in driving accuracy (67.77%) and 119th in driving distance (291.2). Most weeks, he’s playing well back of his playing partners.

At a course where less than driver is the norm, his precision is more of an advantage. Hadwin was 23rd in proximity from the fairway (30′).

He was also in the top 50 in strokes gained putting (45th, .252) for the fourth time in the last five seasons.

Hadwin will need to be on his game if the International Presidents Cup team stands any chance next month at Royal Melbourne. I expect him to keep up his fall form.
