Max Homa is turning into golf’s most interesting man, but it’s not only because of what he’s doing on the course.

If you don’t know who Max Homa is right now, either you only watch golf when Tiger plays or you’re not on Twitter.

In his last two tournaments, Homa finished T-9th at The Farmers Insurance Open and T-6th at the Waste Management Phoenix Open, which included a stellar bogey-free third round of 64.

Homa, who won the 2019 Wells Fargo Championship, seems to have found his A-game after back-to-back top 10’s.

Although Max Homa is firing darts again, it isn’t just his golf game that has people buzzing.

For those who follow hockey, Homa has translated himself into the @BizNasty of the PGA TOUR by using Twitter as a hilarious platform. Even well before he had ever won an event on Tour, Homa loved making funny remarks about anything ranging from golf to relationships.

Christopher Powers of Golf Digest posted a great article in May 2019, which outlined a number of amazing tweets, just like these:

If you scroll through Homa’s Twitter page, you can see his hilarity on a daily basis. After expressing that humor on Twitter for so many years, it recently reached a new level over the holiday break.

Homa began roasting swings on Twitter, and everybody wanted a piece of it. From your 25-handicapper to Andre Iguodala, Homa’s wit was on full display and nobody was safe from getting roasted.

With Homa fully established as golf’s best Twitter follow, fans are now in luck, as he’s teamed up with Shane Bacon to produce a weekly podcast called Get a Grip.

More from Pro Golf Now

The first episode was released on Monday and there’s no doubt that it’ll quickly turn into one of the most popular golf podcasts online. The group recorded right after the final round of the Waste Management Phoenix Open, and it gave great insight into the thought process of a PGA TOUR player chasing the lead on Sunday.

For example, Homa provided valuable comprehension into what he was thinking on the 15th hole when he decided to go for the green in two.

Homa spoke about his idol Kobe Bryant and the “mamba mentality”. He mentioned how sixth vs. second didn’t matter at that time and although he hit his shot in the water, which essentially took him out of the tournament, he was proud of that swing and what he was trying to accomplish.

The two had great chemistry throughout the podcast and Homa’s humor continued as he chatted about different events that happened during the tournament. With great homage to Happy Gilmour, Homa mentioned one of his favourite chirps of the weekend being:

"“Come on Max. Webb is going to choke, the gold jacket’s yours!”"

After only one episode, it’s clear that this podcast will be a must-listen-to every week. Along with daily refreshes of Homa’s Twitter page, Max Homa is quickly turning into most interesting player on Tour.
