The PGA Tour is back in the States, as they head to Florida and the PGA National course to play the Honda Classic.

We are now into the part of the season that can be considered the “Florida swing”, as the PGA Tour is set to tee off for the Honda Classic. It’s Wednesday, which means that it is also time for some picks from the staff here at Pro Golf Now.

Last week, we were able to lock down two of the top three, getting DeChambaeu and Rahm as they finished 2nd and 3rd. Hans and Richie are neck and neck at the top, but there is a handful of us that are not too far behind.

As always, we’ve got plenty of content up about the Honda Classic so far. From power rankings (featured below) to Fantasy golf selections to sleeper candidates that could make some noise.

More from Pro Golf Now

Keith Mitchell is the defending champion and was made famous last year after his win thanks to an unflattering headline of “Mr. No Name”. There are a few more former champions in the field as well. Rickie Fowler won in 2017, Padraig Harrington in 2015 and 2005, Russell Henley from 2014, and Michael Thompson from 2013 being the most recent ones.

Will any of them be chosen to repeat? Or will the staff pick a whole new group to win the Honda Classic? Here we go with the picks to win down in South Florida at the PGA National course.

Billy Horschel

Jordan Perez – For Honda, I’m giving it to Horschel – really, really solid February with two top-10s (Waste Management and WGC Mexico) under his belt and I think the momentum will carry over into his home state circuit.

West Valentine –  Brooks looks like he’s ready to get a win, but I’m going with Billy Horschel. He had a good week in Mexico and this is the type of course and event that good second-tier players can win. I certainly expect a top 10 finish from Billy this week.

Tommy Fleetwood

Hans Geevers – I think the Champions Course is a perfect track for Fleetwood’s game.

Connor Schmidtke

Eric Sedransk

Mike Randleman – An excerpt from the weekly power rankings

"“Tommy Fleetwood impressed in his 2018 debut at the Honda Classic, though the Englishman decided not to return a year later… Now, he’s back and seeking his sixth straight worldwide top-20. Fleetwood won late in 2019 on the European Tour at the Nedbank Golf Challenge. He followed it up on that tour with a solo second at the DP World Tour Championship, T-2 in Abu Dhabi and a T-11 in Dubai.”"

Sungjae Im

Bill Felber – Im is always a reliable performer, and is my pick for this week.

Ben Criswell – He plays in so many tournaments, he is bound to win another one. Right?

Kasey Kuhrts

Rickie Fowler

Kathy Bissell

Kurt Kitayama

Matt Coles

Jhonattan Vegas

Richie Randolph

Vijay Singh

Corey Klatt – Vijay surprised everyone last year at the Honda Classic and nearly won it. This year he will get the win.

Gary Woodland

Chris O’Day – It was only a few years ago (2017) that Woodland finished T-2nd at the Honda Classic. I really like his game, and feel this could be a big week for him. He is in the top 40 in SG off the tee, SG on approach shots, driving distance, driving accuracy, and GIR. Put that all together, and Woodland should have a strong chance come Sunday to get his fifth career PGA Tour victory.
