The Match II: Tiger and Manning vs. Mickelson and Brady
It came out this afternoon that The Match II will be happening between Tiger and Phil, with an added twist.
We might have golf a bit sooner than we thought. The Match II will be happening at a yet to be determined course in May. It’s going to be Tiger Woods and Peyton Manning vs. Phil Mickelson and Tom Brady.
It sounds like it is going to be later on in May, and that they are hoping for May 24th. This date isn’t certain yet though, as they are still trying to lock down amidst COVID-19 issues.
Instead of The Match II, they are going to be calling it “The Match: Champions for Charity”.

As well as being unsure of the date, the venue isn’t nailed down either. It sounds like they are leaning towards Medalist Golf Club, of which Tiger Woods is a member, as well as being a private golf course that many PGA Tour pros go to.
This seems like a fantastic idea, as long as they are able to keep everyone safe and healthy as they are putting it together and playing it.
Before The Match II (I’m calling it that because it’s quicker), it seemed like we wouldn’t be getting any golf until June. Now that The Match is going to be going on, we will be seeing it, possibly, within the next 4-5 weeks.
I’m so excited about this. The fact that they are bringing in some outside non-golfers, two of which are some of the most popular to play the sport of football in the last 20 years. With all that they learned from the first go-around of The Match, this should be an opportunity for a fantastic secondary event.
Getting to watch two uber-competitive people join Tiger and Phil has the potential to be amazing. Especially if they lift the gambling limitations from the first one. If you let Tiger, Phil, Peyton, and Brady all gamble as much as they want.

It’s only going to be one more month until we get to see this. Everyone should start getting ready, as it has the makings of one of the most epic out of the box experiences that we have been able to see in the golf world in quite some time.
