Kevin Kisner has quietly put together a very solid career on the PGA Tour. But it wasn’t always easy.

Kevin Kisner is not a flashy guy. Despite being a well-known player on the PGA Tour, Kisner does not seek attention and simply does his job. And it’s something he does consistently well.

Kisner’s career didn’t start out in the best of fashion. He played on the tour in 2011 and 2012, but did not finish high enough to keep his card. So, he went back to the Korn Ferry Tour, where he placed 13th on the money list to once again secure his PGA Tour card.

Kisner made the most of his second chance. In 2014, Kisner made the FedEx Cup playoffs for the first time after registering three top 10s during the regular season. He made it to the Barclays, but could not advance any further, finishing 104th in the standings.

In 2015, Kisner took another step forward. He was unable to earn his first tour win, but he did have three runner-up finishes. Among those was a tie for second in the Players Championship. Kisner would earn his way to the Tour Championship and would finish 21st in the FedEx Cup standings.

Kisner got his first PGA Tour win in 2016, winning the RSM Classic. He would finish 23rd in the FedEx Cup standings that season. In 2017, Kisner won again, taking the title at the Dean & Deluca Invitational. He finished 12th in the FedEx Cup standings that season, and also went 2-0-2 as a member of the United States Presidents Cup team.

In 2018, he slipped back to 47th in the FedEx Cup standings, but he bounced back in 2019, earning a win at the World Golf Championships-Dell Technologies Match Play. He would go ahead and finish a career-high ninth in the FedEx Cup standings.

The 2020 season has started slowly for Kisner, as he is currently 76th in the FedEx Cup standings. He tied for fourth at the Sony Open in Hawaii, his only top 10 so far this season. But if Kisner holds form, he will have a strong, consistent summer and will make the Tour Championship again this season.
