After a two-week stint at Muirfield, the PGA Tour will head away to play the 3M Open.

For any who thought the second week at Muirfield was going to be a breeze, The Golden Bear had other thoughts. Players are likely glad to be leaving, and they will be headed up to Minnesota to play TPC Twin Cities and the 3M Open.

It was a rough week not just for the players, but for our picks as well. Tony Finau was the lone top-ten pick, with many players struggling to put together strong rounds consecutively while staying at par or better.

We look to change, just as the players are by heading to the 3M Open.

More from Pro Golf Now

Here are our staff picks to win the 3M Open.

Harris English

Kasey Kuhrts – I will go with Harris English this week. Harris is coming off back to back top 20 finishes at the RBC Heritage and the Memorial. With that, Harris has finished top-ten five times this season, and only missed two cuts. To take it a step further, Harris is 11th on tour in green hits in regulation percentage, 4th in bogey avoidance, and 25th in strokes gained off the tee, all key stats this week in Minnesota.

Matthew Wolff

Cam Cobey – Matthew won this tournament last year and is in good form after a 2nd place finish at the Rocket Mortgage and a top 25 at the tough Muirfield golf course.

Josh Teater

Tim Letcher – I have not had much success picking with my head this season, so I’m going to pick with my heart. Teater happens to be a friend of my family and a graduate of my alma mater (Morehead State University). At 41 years old, he gets his first PGA Tour win this week and the folks in central and eastern Kentucky, including me, rejoice!

Tony Finau

Hans Geevers – He played well at last week’s Memorial Tournament, finishing eighth.

Kathy Bissell

Brooks Koepka

Bill Felber – Anything could happen with Brooks Koepka this week. But it’s time to get ready for the first major, and I think he will step up.

Corey Conners

West Valentine – He’s in the Top 20 on Tour in Shots Gained Off the Tee, Approach to Green, and Tee to Green. That always feels like a winning formula and he’s coming off a very steady 73-74-72-72 at The Memorial where the conditions were monstrous. His consistent, if unspectacular play tells me he’s in control of his game and might be ready to get win #2 on Tour.

Seamus Power

Chris O’Day – Going with an Irishman! Gotta support the heritage, and Power is my pick

Keith Mitchell

Richie Randolph – TPC Twin Cities is a bomber’s paradise, and Keith is 28th in Strokes Gained: Off the Tee. He struggled during his first few events following the layoff but finished in the top 25 this past weekend at the Memorial. This is Keith’s weekend!

Dustin Johnson

Mike Randleman – In an excerpt from the weekly power rankings

“The 36-year-old ranks 14th on the PGA Tour in strokes gained (.556 per round) and is second in holes per eagle (63). He’s fourth in proximity from the rough (36’7”) and 13th from the fairway (29’). As long as he avoids the water and sand aplenty, DJ should be just fine… Three of TPC Twin Cities’ four par-3s play over 200 yards. He’s fourth in proximity from 200-225 (43’3”).”

Best of luck to everyone with their picks this week at the 3M Open!
