The BMW Championship is here along with our golfer picks to win.

The first week of the FedEx Cup Playoffs was pretty exciting. A 59, -11 through 11 holes, and a near-historic performance from DJ to win. Here’s hoping the BMW Championship can be just as exciting.

There is plenty on the line, as only 30 of the 70 eligible golfers will make it to the Tour Championship. Extra excitement will be there this week as there will be no cut, and we could see some late movement over the weekend by players that wouldn’t normally be there do to a poor start.

Just like the PGA Tour season, there are only two events left in our golfer picks for this season. My advice would be to listen to current leader Bill Felber, who has given us Justin Thomas at the St. Jude, Morikawa to win the PGA Championship, and DJ last week to win the Northern Trust. He even had Kim’s third-place finish at the Wyndham.

Here are the staff picks to win the BMW Championship.

Jon Rahm

Cam Cobey – He’s gonna win one of these playoff tournaments, and I think it will be this one.

Kathy Bissell

Hans Geevers

Kasey Kuhrts – I just have a good feeling about Rahm this week. He quietly finished T6 last week after a -6 Sunday. He’s top 30 on tour in driving distance, so the long course shouldn’t be an issue. He’s hit 70.33% of greens in regulation this season, so that shouldn’t be an issue either. I just have a good feeling about Rahmbo this week in Illinois!

Justin Thomas

Tim Letcher – He did not play well in the playoff opener, losing his spot at the top of the standings in the process. But Thomas has consistently bounced back this season after not playing well the previous week. That trend continues this week in Chicago, where Thomas wins for the second year in a row, albeit on a different course.

Viktor Hovland

Ryan McNeil Lamswood – Absolute flusher and could use a good week.

Dustin Johnson

Mike Randleman An excerpt from my weekly power rankings

“He comes to the BMW Championship ranked ninth on Tour in birdie average (4.34), first in fairway proximity (27’10”) and third in rough proximity (37’11”). Closer to the hole is where the field can catch up to DJ, though he was in the top 13 last week in SG around the greens and SG putting.”

Bill Felber – I took Dustin Johnson last week and he went 30-under. I’d have to be an idiot to jump off that horse now. I am not an idiot. DJ again.

Matthew Wolff

Richie Randolph – For this weekend give me Matt Wolff. The young gun nearly stole the PGA Championship, won an NCAA event at Olympia Fields in 2018, and is one of the longest hitters at the tender age of 21. He will vault up the FedEx Cup standings this weekend with a win in Illinois!

Daniel Berger

West Valentine – I’m going to go off the obvious here and pick Daniel Berger. He’s had a great year so far, played well last week and this could be his time to really have a breakthrough.

Max Homa

Chris O’Day – Didn’t even look to see if my original pick, Simpson, was playing. So i’m left picking one of the last guys to tee off. Going with the homey Max Homa.
