BMW Championship: Adam Scott looks to make it to East Lake
Through two rounds at the BMW Championship, Adam Scott has made the leap into the top 30.
Heading into Saturday’s round, Adam Scott is sitting at +1. Normally, this is not the spot that you would want to be after two rounds at any tournament. It’s a whole different ballgame at the BMW Championship though.
Scott is just two shots back of the lead and is T-5th with a handful of other players. He is going to need to say right in this area for the weekend, as he has done just enough to make it to East Lake. Entering the BMW Championship, he was ranked 38th. He sits at 29th in the standings and is going to need to continue to play well.
It looks like scoring is going to be a bit easier during Saturday’s round, as we have already seen the lowest scores of the week been posted by players that are in the clubhouse. OH, and Lanto Griffin, who as I’m typing, just chipped in from 100 yards out for eagle, and is -3 through four holes.

We will need to keep a close eye on Scott, to see if he can continue his good play at the BMW Championship.
Adam Scott has played well, scoring fairly often throughout the first two days. He has found his way to six birdies, which isn’t something that a lot of the players can say at the BMW Championship. What many players do feel is the other side of it, as Scott has also carded seven bogeys.
There’s a large group of players clustered around the top of the leaderboard. With so many of the bunched up, you don’t get near the amount of points you think that you would get for a normal T-6th finish. If there are 7 players with you, you are really only getting somewhere along the lines of a 10th place finish.
Luckily for Scott, he was at 38th entering the week. As long as he can keep it in the top ten, and not be passed by too many players below him, we should be welcoming one of the best swings in golf to East Lake. Scott tees off right around the time this article goes up, so head on over to your local golf channel and give his round a watch.
