RSM Classic: Winners and Losers from Post-Masters Georgia
By Tim Letcher
The week after the Masters, many players did not play at the RSM Classic. But some did, and we have the winners and losers from this week.
Each week on the PGA Tour, there are players who do better than expected and others who fail to live up to what is expected of them. At Pro Golf Now, we call them winners and losers. Here’s a look at the winners and losers from this week’s PGA Tour stop, the RSM Classic.
Winners
Robert Streb – He held the lead after the second and third rounds, but appeared to have lost it on Sunday. But Streb rebounded to beat Kevin Kisner in a playoff, earning his second career PGA Tour win, but his first in six years.

Cameron Tringale – The veteran rallied with a 62 on Sunday to jump from 11th place into a solo third. He also jumped from 101st in the early FedEx Cup standings to 33rd. Tringale has still never won on the PGA Tour, but this was the third time he has finished third, to go along with three runner-up finishes.
Kevin Kisner – After having good, but not great, days the first three days of the RSM Classic, Kisner turned it on Sunday with a 63. That was good enough to get him into a playoff, but Streb held him off with a birdie on the second playoff hole. Nevertheless, it was another good finish for Kisner.
Camilo Villegas – It’s good to see Villegas back and competing at a high level on the PGA Tour after the death of his daughter. This week, he finished in a tie for sixth place and he jumped 66 spots in the FedEx Cup standings. Overall, a good week for Villegas.
John Huh – He was a winner during his rookie year in 2012 but has fallen off since then. So seeing Huh finish in a tie for 12th this week is a good thing. He’s still just 30 years old, so a comeback is definitely not out of the question for Huh.
Losers
Justin Rose – After notching three straight birdies late in his round on Friday, Rose appeared to be headed to playing on the weekend. But an errant shot on his final hole led to a bogey and a missed cut for the former major champion.
Lee Westwood – He suffered through a brutal 76 on Thursday and came back with a 73 on Friday. That left Westwood 10 full shots outside the cut line. Westwood apparently did not recover from the Masters being held in November.
Dylan Frittelli – The South African had an outstanding week at the Masters last week, one that he will never forget. This week, however, he would like to forget. Frittelli shot 76-74 to miss the cut by 11 shots this week.
Stewart Cink – The early 2020-21 season has been very good to the veteran, but this week was not. He shot a 74 on Thursday to basically put himself out of contention to make the weekend. He did come back with a 70 on Friday, but it was not enough to make the cut.
Kevin Stadler – After shooting an 83 on Friday to finish in dead last, Stadler signed an incorrect scorecard and was disqualified. It was a bad week for a player who is trying to earn his way back on tour full-time.
