Each week on the PGA Tour, there are those who exceed expectations and others that fall short of what is expected of them. Here at Pro Golf Now, we call them winners and losers. Here are the winners and losers from this week’s Corales Puntacana Championship.

Winners

Joel Dahmen – At age 33, Dahmen earned his first PGA Tour win on Sunday. He entered the final round with the lead and was able to hold off a host of players for his first win in 111 career starts.

More from Pro Golf Now

Sam Ryder – It has not been a good season for Ryder, either, but he has played much better the last two weeks. After finishing T8 at the Honda Classic, Ryder placed T2 this weekend, tying his best career finish. He now has three Top 10s this season.

Rafael Campos – His T2 this week was the best finish of his career. It was also his second top five finish this season. Campos has missed eight cuts but has made the most of his chances when playing the weekend.

Graeme McDowell – The 2020-21 season has been brutal for McDowell, has he has missed seven cuts in nine starts. However, he had his best finish in two years with a T4 this week.

Michael Gligic – He had never finished inside the Top 10 in his PGA Tour career until this week. His T4 also moved Gligic, at least for now, into playoff position.

Losers

Luke Donald – He has not been the same since injuries derailed his career but he should be good enough to make the cut at this event. However, he did not. A 75 on Friday left him just outside the cut line and home for the weekend.

Bill Haas – The former FedEx Cup champion should also be good enough to make the cut at this event. He did not. It was a pair of 73s that kept Haas one shot outside the cut line and also home for the weekend.

Brandon Hagy – He was on the winners list last week after finishing second at the Honda Classic. He could not carry that momentum into this week, as he missed the cut, shooting 73-75.

Camilo Villegas – It has been a pretty good comeback season for Villegas in 2020-21. But this was not his week. He shot 75-75 to miss the cut by five shots.

Beau Hossler – He was in position to make the cut after shooting a 71 on Thursday. However, he blew up and shot a 79 on Friday and got to watch the weekend on TV.
