LPGA Fantasy Golf: 2021 ANA Inspiration Draftkings Player Selections

This week, the LPGA Tour presents fantasy golf fans with the 2021 ANA Inspiration. The ANA Inspiration is the first major of the LPGA Tour season! This week’s field is stacked with the best female golfers in the world. Let’s take a look at this tournament from a fantasy golf perspective!

Before I discuss my fantasy golf player selections I wanted to emphasize that the purpose of this article is not to provide a specific lineup. Having stated that, this article will provide multiple player options in an effort to assist the reader in generating a unique lineup that will hopefully have the potential to win a Draftkings GPP (guaranteed prize pool) contest!

Here are my Draftkings player selections for the 2021 ANA Inspiration!

Lexi Thompson $9,900

Thompson has some outstanding previous results at the ANA Inspiration. Let me be more specific. Lexi has played the ANA Inspiration every year since 2014. In those seven events just mentioned, Thompson has seven top 20 finishes, including a win at the 2014 ANA Inspiration.

Thompson is also arriving at this event in good form. Lexi finished second at the Kia Classic last week.

So Yeon Ryu $9,300

The South Korean fired a final round 67 at last week’s Kia Classic on her way to an eventual 12th place finish.

Ryu has won two major championships in her career. Ryu won the 2017 ANA inspiration and the 2011 U.S. Women’s Open.

Ally Ewing $8,000

The American has four top 20 finishes in her last eight events played on the LPGA Tour, including a win at the LPGA Drive On Championship @ Reynolds Lake in October. Ewing also finished sixth at the 2019 ANA Inspiration.

Jenny Shin $7,900

The 28 year old has two top 12 finishes in her last three events played on the LPGA Tour, including an eighth place result at the Gainbridge LPGA last month.

Additionally, I like the fact that Shin has performed well at the ANA Inspiration in the past. Shin finished 12th at the 2019 ANA Inspiration.

Kristen Gillman $7,000

The American arrives at this week’s first major championship on the heels of two consecutive top 28 finishes on the LPGA Tour, including a 26th place result at the Kia Classic last week. Gillman also finished sixth at the 2019 ANA Inspiration. I think Gillman presents outstanding fantasy golf value at a Draftkings price of $7,000.
