The 2021 Masters is halfway through and the issue is still very much in doubt. There are 11 players within three shots of the lead and 20 players within six of leader Justin Rose.

Saturday is known as moving day at Augusta National and it will be very important to the outcome of this year’s event. Here are some of the storylines to watch on Saturday at the Masters.

More from Pro Golf Now

Justin Rose – He had a bit of a shaky start on Friday but was able to bounce back and shoot even par on the day. More importantly, he maintained the lead with 36 holes to play. Can Rose stretch the lead on Saturday or will he fall back into the field?

Jordan Spieth – After breaking a nearly four-year drought last week, Spieth is in the hunt again this week at Augusta. He’s two shots behind Rose after shooting a 4-under par 68 on Friday. Spieth has a ton of confidence right now, and he’s won here before, so look for him to be a factor this weekend.

Big names chasing – The leader board has plenty of fire power just below Rose. Jordan Spieth, Tony Finau, Hideki Matsuyama and Justin Thomas are all at 4-under par. Xander Schauffele is at 3-under while Collin Morikawa is among those at 2-under par, while Bryson DeChambeau and Viktor Hovland are 1-under par and six shots back.

First-time winners? – While the big names are dominating the leader board, there are some players in the Top 10 who are looking for their first major championship title. Brian Harman and Will Zalatoris are both one shot behind Rose. Marc Leishman is two shots behind at 5-under par, while the group at four under includes Cameron Champ, Tony Finau, Si Woo Kim, Matsuyama and Bernd Wiesberger. All of these players could be a factor this weekend.

Who could rally? – Among the players who are not under par, there are a couple of names who could post a score early on Saturday and get into contention. The guess here is that Tommy Fleetwood (E), Scottie Scheffler (+1) and Webb Simpson (+2) have the best chance of doing so.
