Fantasy Golf: 2021 RBC Heritage Draftkings Player Selections

Fantasy golf fanatics faced a unique challenge with last week’s Masters Tournament, which featured a very limited field. That will not be the case this week. The RBC Heritage will feature a field of 132 players. Having stated that, the RBC Heritage is a return to normalcy. I much prefer a full field PGA Tournament when I play DFS golf.

*Before I discuss my fantasy golf player selections I wanted to clearly state that the purpose of this article is not to provide a specific lineup. Having stated that, this article will provide multiple player options in an effort to assist the reader in generating a unique lineup that will hopefully have the potential to win a Draftkings GPP (guaranteed prize pool) contest!

Here are my Draftkings/fantasy golf player selections for the 2021 RBC Heritage.

Webb Simpson $10,700

Simpson has four top 28 finishes in his last six tournaments played on the PGA Tour, including a 12th place result at the Masters last week.

I also like the fact that Simpson has performed at a high level at the RBC Heritage in the past. Simpson has played the RBC Heritage every year since 2017. In those four events just mentioned, Webb has four top 16 finishes, including a win at the 2020 RBC Heritage.

Corey Conners $9,300

Conners finished eighth at last week’s Masters. In relation to this week’s current listed 2021 RBC Heritage field, in the last 12 rounds played on the PGA Tour, Conners ranks second in strokes gained ball striking, third in Draftkings points scored, and ninth in birdie or better percentage.

Abraham Ancer $8,900

The Mexican has five top 26 finishes in his last six events played on the PGA Tour, including a fifth place result at the American Express in January. Ancer also finished second at the 2020 RBC Heritage.

In relation to this week’s current listed 2021 RBC Heritage field, in the last 12 rounds played on the PGA Tour, Ancer ranks eighth in scrambling, sixth in driving accuracy, 11th in strokes gained tee to green, and 15th in strokes gained ball striking.

I think Ancer brings outstanding fantasy golf win equity at a Draftkings price of only $8,900.

Brian Harman $8,700

The 34 year old American arrives at this week’s 2021 RBC Heritage on the heels of three consecutive top 12 finishes on the PGA Tour, including a third place result at the Players Championship last month. Harman also finished ninth at the 2017 RBC Heritage.

Michael Thompson $7,200

The 35 year old has four top 34 finishes in his last seven events played on the PGA Tour, including a 19th place finish at the Honda Classic last month. I think Thompson presents outstanding fantasy golf value.

Rafael Campos $6,400

Campos has two top three finishes in his last four tournaments played on the PGA Tour, including a second place result at the Corales Puntacana Resort & Club Championship last month.

Additional golfers I like this week: Harris English $8,400: Kevin Na $8,100: Ian Poulter $7,600.
