The PGA Tour travels to the state of Florida for this week’s 2021 Valspar Championship. Fantasy golf fans will be presented with a quality field of talent. A few of the notable names that are in this week’s 2021 Valspar Championship field include 2020 FedEx Cup champion Dustin Johnson, Patrick Reed, and two time defending champion Paul Casey.

Before I discuss my fantasy golf player selections I wanted to emphasize that the purpose of this article is not to provide a specific lineup. Having stated that, this article will provide multiple player options in an effort to assist the reader in generating a unique lineup that will hopefully have the potential to win a Draftkings GPP (guaranteed prize pool) contest!

*It should be noted that the 2020 Valspar Championship was cancelled due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Here are my Draftkings/fantasy golf player selections for the 2021 Valspar Championship.

Corey Conners $9,600

The 29 year old Canadian is known to be one of the best pure ball strikers on the PGA Tour. I absolutely believe that this specific skill will be paramount to a golfer’s success this week.

Conners arrives at this week’s 2021 Valspar Championship in outstanding form. Conners has four top eight finishes in his last five tournaments played on the PGA Tour, including a fourth place result at the RBC Heritage two weeks ago.

Justin Rose $8,800

The 2018 FedEx Cup champion arrives at this week’s Valspar Championship on the heels of two consecutive top 11 finishes on the PGA Tour, including a seventh place result at the Masters. Rose also finished fifth at the 2018 Valspar Championship.

Lucas Glover $7,700

The 2014 United States Open champion has two top 19 finishes in his last three events played on the PGA Tour, including a fourth place result at the 2021 Valero Texas Open.

Russell Henley $9,000

Henley has two consecutive top nine finishes on the PGA Tour, including a third place result at the Honda Classic in March.

In relation to this week’s current listed 2021 Valspar Championship field, in the last eight rounds played on the PGA Tour, Henley ranks ninth in GIR (greens in regulation), fourth in strokes gained approach, 11th in strokes gained ball striking, and 11th in birdie or better percentage.

Henrik Stenson $7,000

Yes, I know that Stenson has had his struggles on the golf course in the last year or so. However, I think Stenson is starting to show signs he is on the verge of turning the corner in that regard. Stenson has two consecutive top 38 finishes on the PGA Tour, including an 11th place result at last week’s Zurich Classic.

Stenson also has had put up some outstanding results at the Valspar Championship in the past. Let me be more specific. Stenson has played the Valspar Championship five times since 2015. In those five tournaments just mentioned, Stenson has four top 24 finishes, including a seventh place result at the 2017 Valspar Championship.

Additional golfers I like this week: Justin Thomas $11,500: Paul Casey $10,000: Bubba Watson $8,900.
