The PGA Tour travels to the state of North Carolina for the 2021 Wells Fargo Championship. Draftkings will present the fantasy golf community with a large number of contests for this week’s PGA Tour event. Let’s take a look at this week’s Wells Fargo Championship from a fantasy golf perspective.

Before I discuss my fantasy golf player selections I wanted to emphasize that the purpose of this article is not to provide a specific lineup. Having stated that, this article will provide multiple player options in an effort to assist the reader in generating a unique lineup that will hopefully have the potential to win a Draftkings GPP (guaranteed prize pool) contest!

*It should be noted that the 2020 Wells Fargo Championship was cancelled due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Here are my Draftkings/fantasy golf player selections for the 2021 Wells Fargo Championship.

Webb Simpson $10,200

The 35 year old has three top 12 finishes in his last four events played on the PGA Tour, including a ninth place result at the RBC Heritage last month.

Simpson also checks the box for me when it comes to previous results at the Wells Fargo Championship. Simpson has played the Wells Fargo Championship nine times since 2011. In those nine events played, Simpson has five top 21 finishes, including a second place result at the 2015 Wells Fargo Championship.

Brian Harman $8,700

Harman arrives at this week’s PGA Tour event on the heels of three consecutive top 13 finishes, including a third place result at the Players Championship in March.

In relation to this week’s current listed 2021 Wells Fargo Championship field, in the last 12 rounds played on the PGA Tour, Harman ranks tenth in scrambling, third in strokes around the green, tenth in strokes gained putting, and second in strokes gained on par five holes.

Cameron Tringale $8,400

Tringale fired a final round 68 at last week’s Valspar Championship en route to a third place finish.

In relation to this week’s current listed 2021 Wells Fargo Championship field, in the last 12 rounds played on the PGA Tour, Tringale ranks second in strokes gained around the green, fifth in strokes gained tee to green, first in bogey avoidance, and seventh in birdie or better percentage.

Charl Schwartzel $7,200

The South African has three consecutive top 26 finishes on the PGA Tour, including a second place result at the Zurich Classic last month. Schwartzel also finished ninth at the 2018 Wells Fargo Championship.

Camilo Villegas $6,900

The 39 year old has four top 25 finishes in his last five tournaments played on the PGA Tour, including an eighth place result at the Honda Classic last month. I think Camilo presents outstanding fantasy golf value at the low Draftkings price of only $6,900.

Additional golfers I like this week: Bryson DeChambeau $11,000: Stewart Cink $7,900.
