Fantasy Golf: 2021 AT&T Byron Nelson Draftkings Player Picks
By Hans Geevers
This week, the PGA Tour returns to the state of Texas for the 2021 AT&T Byron Nelson. The Fantasy golf community will be presented with a quality field that includes Brooks Koepka, Jordan Spieth, and 2021 Masters champion Hideki Matsuyama. Let’s take a look at this week’s PGA Tour event from a fantasy golf perspective.
Before I discuss my fantasy golf player selections I wanted to emphasize that the purpose of this article is not to provide a specific lineup. Having stated that, this article will provide multiple player options in an effort to assist the reader in generating a unique lineup that will hopefully have the potential to win a Draftkings GPP (guaranteed prize pool) contest!

Here are my fantasy golf/Draftkings player selections for the 2021 AT&T Byron Nelson!
Jordan Spieth $10,700
The 2015 United States Open champion arrives at this week’s tournament in great form. Spieth has three top four finishes in his last four events played on the PGA Tour, including a win at the Valero Texas Open last month.
In relation to this week’s current listed 2021 AT&T Byron Nelson field, in the last 12 rounds played on the PGA Tour, Spieth ranks ranks third in GIR (greens in regulation), first in strokes gained approach, first in strokes gained ball striking, second in bogey avoidance, and first in birdie or better percentage.
Matthew Fitzpatrick $9,500
Fitzpatrick has three top ten finishes in his last four tournaments played on the PGA Tour, including a fourth place result at the RBC Heritage last month.
Aaron Wise $8,200
The 24 year old American fired a final round 68 at last week’s Wells Fargo Championship en route to a ninth place finish. Wise also won the 2018 AT&T Byron Nelson.
Alexander Noren $7,900
The 38 year old has three consecutive top 25 finishes on the PGA Tour, including a 21st place result at the Valspar Championship two weeks ago.
In relation to this week’s current listed 2021 AT&T Byron Nelson field, in the last 12 rounds played on the PGA Tour, Noren ranks 14th in bogey avoidance, seventh in scrambling, and 16th in strokes gained around the green.
Vincent Whaley $7,000
Whaley has three top 29 finishes in his last five tournaments played on the PGA Tour, including a 15th place result at the Puerto Rico Open in February. I think the American is trending in the right direction. In my opinion, Whaley presents outstanding fantasy golf value at a Draftkings price of only $7,000.
Additional golfers I like this week: Charl Schwartzel $8,100: Talor Gooch $7,900: John Catlin $7,200.
