There are the favorites to win and sleeper picks for the 2021 PGA Championship. Then there is FORE Right, a pick farther away from the fairway than most.

It’s the third weekly edition of FORE Right and it is the second Major Championship of the season as the 2021 PGA Championship takes place in South Carolina at The Ocean Course at Kiawah Island. If you’ve been following the first few editions of FORE Right then you know how it works. Let’s hope the third time is the charm as picking something like this is hard enough as I’ve not had much luck yet, not to mention picking a Major Championship is that much harder.

If this is your first time checking out FORE Right, this is the best way to describe it. It will be a little bit of a guess and a little bit of doing my homework while also watching each week. The favorites to win are the same as a drive right down the middle of the fairway. The sleepers are the same as a drive just off the fairway in the first cut. Then there is FORE Right! It’s letting everyone know to look out, because you never know.

After looking good and hard, wavering back and forth, and thinking it over far too much than I should, I’ve decided the FORE Right pick for the 2021 PGA Championship is the 34 year old from Oklahoma, Robert Streb. He is sitting at a respectable 48th in the FedEx Cup rankings and 125th in the Official World Golf Rankings. Streb, according to www.WynnBet.com is a +25000 bet to win this week in Kiawah Island.

Robert Streb comes in with two career PGA victories. The first was in 2014 at the McGladrey Classic and the second was earlier this season as he took home the RSM Classic title. There are a few reasons I have chosen Streb to come out of nowhere to take home his first Major title. He has already tasted victory this season as I’ve previously mentioned. The other reason is he has performed well at this particular Major. Although it hasn’t been played at The Ocean Course when he’s been in the field, he’s proven he can contend on a big stage. He was the 36 hole leader at the 2016 version of the tournament where he had his best finish at a Major in his career thus far with a T7. Streb also finished T10 at the 2015 PGA Championship and a T22 at Quail Hollow in North Carolina at the 2017 PGA Championship. To me these are enough proof that he can put himself in contention at a Major and he has a good shot at doing that again this season.

Robert Streb’s 2021 season thus far has been feast or famine as he has competed in 17 events so far. He has missed 10 cuts and made seven. During the season to this point he has the one victory and has three top 25 finishes. The biggest thing for Streb is when he does make cuts, he’s usually up there with a shot. So, let’s go Robert Streb! Give FORE Right their first win, great finish or even a contender! You can also head over to www.BetSided.com for more gambling coverage from the FanSided Network.
