The LPGA Tour presents fantasy golf fans with the 2021 U.S. Women’s Open. This year’s U.S. Women’s Open will be a difficult test for the field. Why? Well, the eventual champion will have to conquer one of the toughest golf courses in the world, the Olympic Club in San Francisco, California. Let’s take a look at this major championship from a fantasy golf perspective!

Before I discuss my fantasy golf player selections I wanted to emphasize that the purpose of this article is not to provide a specific lineup. Having stated that, this article will provide multiple player options in an effort to assist the reader in generating a unique lineup that will hopefully have the potential to win a Draftkings GPP (guaranteed prize pool) contest!

Here are my Draftkings/fantasy golf player selections for the 2021 U.S. Women’s Open.

Inbee Park $11,000

The 32 year old has been playing some great golf this year. Let me be more specific. Park has played six golf tournaments on the LPGA Tour since the beginning of March. In those six events just mentioned, Park has six top 16 finishes, including a win at the Kia Classic.

It should also be noted that Inbee Park finished sixth at the 2020 U.S. Women’s Open.

So Yeon Ru $9,400

The 30 year old South Korean has four top 17 finishes in her last five tournaments played on the LPGA Tour, including a sixth place result at the HSBC Women’s World Championship in April.

Ryu currently ranks sixth in scoring average (69.17) and sixth in putts per GIR (1.72) on the LPGA Tour.

Brooke Henderson $9,300

The Canadian fired a final round 67 at the HUGEL-AIR PREMIA LA Open in April on her way to capturing her first win of the season.

Henderson is currently ranked third in GIR (greens in regulation-80.04%) and fifth in driving distance (278.78) on the LPGA Tour.

Gabby Lopez $7,600

Lopez has two top nine finishes in her last three events played on the LPGA Tour, including a ninth place result at the Honda LPGA Thailand last month.

Lauren Stephenson $6,700

The 23 year old arrives at this week’s major championship on the heels of two consecutive top 12 finishes on the LPGA Tour, including a seventh place result at the Pure Silk Championship two weeks ago. Stephenson also finished 30th at the 2020 U.S. Women’s Open.

In my opinion, Lauren Stephenson presents outstanding fantasy golf value at a Draftkings price of only $6,700.

Additional golfers I like: Stacy Lewis $8,000: Rachel Heck $7,100: Mel Reid $6,900.
