The PGA Tour heads to Connecticut this week for the Travelers Championship. A number of former winners are in this week’s field.

Bubba Watson, Stewart Cink and Phil Mickelson are all in the field, and each has won this event at least twice. Here are the top groups to watch this week at TPC River Highlands.

More from Pro Golf Now

Paul Casey, Phil Mickelson, Bubba Watson (Thursday, 12:50 ET; Friday, 7:35 ET) – Casey has been runner-up here twice, falling short of Watson in 2015 and 2018. Mickelson, you may have heard, won the PGA Championship at age 50. Watson is a three-time champion at this event and clearly loves TPC River Highlands.

Tony Finau, Dustin Johnson, Brooks Koepka (Thursday, 1:00 ET; Friday, 7:45 ET) – This long-hitting threesome should be fun to watch. Finau is still in search of that elusive second PGA Tour victory. DJ is number one in the world and has shown signs of breaking out of his recent slump. Koepka has had a roller coaster season but is as good as anyone when he’s on.

Patrick Cantlay, Garrick Higgo, Marc Leishman (Thursday 7:35 ET; Friday, 1:00 ET) – Cantlay got the win at the Memorial after Jon Rahm was forced to withdraw. Cantlay has two wins this season. Higgo earned his first PGA Tour win, in just his second career start, in South Carolina a couple of weeks ago. Leishman won the Travelers in 2012.

Stewart Cink, Bryson DeChambeau, Patrick Reed (Thursday 7:45; Friday, 1:00 ET) – Cink won this event in 1997 and 2008. He’s also been runner-up twice. DeChambeau is a factor any time he tees it up and could be in the mix this week. Reed had a disappointing finish at the U.S. Open last week, but did win at Torrey Pines earlier this season.

Sam Burns, Jason Day, Brendon Todd (Thursday, 8:15 ET; Friday, 1:30 ET) – Burns has been in contention several times this season and got his first tour win at the Valspar Championship. Day is a former major champion who is looking to regain his form. Todd has two Top 10s in 22 starts this season.
