The 2021 Rocket Mortgage Classic has just 18 holes left but the event remains wide open. There are 10 players within three shots of the lead with one round left.

Some of those in contention have never won on the PGA Tour. Which of these potential first=timers has the best chance of winning on Sunday?

More from Pro Golf Now

Hank Lebioda – The 27-year-old Florida State grad has played in 63 events, prior to this week, on the PGA Tour. His best finish was a third-place showing at the 2020 Bermuda Classic. He’s currently one shot behind the leaders with one round remaining.

Cam Davis – The 26-year-old Australian has played in 70 events on tour, with his best finish coming earlier this season. Davis finished solo third at the 2021 Americnan Express. He’s also one shot behind the leaders with 18 holes to go.

Tom Lewis – The 30-year-old Englishman has played in 44 events on tour with a second-place finish at last year’s WGC-FedEx St. Jude Classic being his best finish. He does have three wins in Europe and one on the Korn Ferry Tour. He’s three shots behind the leaders but has proven in the past that he can go very low at times.

Brandon Hagy – The 30-year-old Californian has played in 91 tour events with his best finish coming earlier this season. He was second at the Honda Classic in March, his only Top 10 this year. He’s two shots back with 18 holes left.

Seamus Power – The 34-year-old native of Waterford, Ireland, has played in 103 career events on the PGA Tour. His best finish ever is fifth, so seeing Power win would certainly be a surprise. Power trails the leaders by four shots with one round left.

While it seems more likely that leaders Troy Merritt and/or Joaquin Niemann will claim the victory this week, these are the first-timers who all have at least a chance with one round left in Detroit.
