After a one week visit to Michigan, the PGA Tour travels to Illinois for the 2021 John Deere Classic. Fantasy golf fans will be presented with a field that includes Daniel Berger, Zach Johnson, and defending champion Dylan Frittelli.

Before I discuss my fantasy golf player selections I wanted to emphasize that the purpose of this article is not to provide a specific lineup. Having stated that, this article will provide multiple player options in an effort to assist the reader in generating a unique lineup that will hopefully have the potential to win a Draftkings GPP (guaranteed prize pool) contest!

Here are my Draftkings/fantasy golf selections for the 2021 John Deere Classic.

Sungjae Im $10,700

The talented young South Korean fired a final round 67 at last week’s Rocket Mortgage Classic on his way to an eventual eighth place finish. In my opinion, Im is arguably the most talented golfer in this week’s 2021 John Deere Classic field.

Brian Harman $10,400

The 34 year old American has accumulated seven top 19 finishes in his last eight tournaments played on the PGA Tour, including an impressive eighth place result at the Charles Schwab Challenge last month.

In relation to this week’s current listed 2021 John Deere Classic field, in the last 12 rounds played on the PGA Tour, Harman ranks sixth in strokes gained tee to green, third in bogey avoidance, second in scrambling, and first in total Draftkings points scored.

It should also be noted that Brian Harman won the 2014 John Deere Classic.

Hank Lebioda $8,400

The 27 year old American has two consecutive top five finishes on the PGA Tour, including a fourth place result at the Rocket Mortgage Classic. I absolutely love the look of Lebioda’s recent performance on the PGA Tour. I fully expect Hank to continue his outstanding play in Illinois this week.

Beau Hossler $7,800

Hossler arrives at this week’s 2021 John Deere Classic on the heels of three consecutive top 25 finishes on the PGA Tour, including a tenth place result at the Travelers Championship two weeks ago.

In relation to this week’s current listed 2021 John Deere Classic field, in the last 12 rounds played on the PGA Tour, Hossler ranks first in strokes gained tee to green, second in GIR (greens in regulation), third in strokes gained ball striking, and eighth in total Draftkings points scored.

Pat Perez $7,700

The 45 year old has accumulated two top 14 finishes in his last three tournaments played on the PGA Tour, including a tenth place result at the Palmetto Championship @ Congaree a month ago.

Roger Sloan $6,900

The Canadian finished 22nd at the Puerto Rico Open in February, 25th at the Honda Classic in March, and finished 21st at last week’s 2021 Rocket Mortgage Classic. Additionally, Sloan finished tenth at the 2019 John Deere Classic.

Additional golfers I like this week: Seamus Power $9,000: Troy Merritt $8,700: Kyle Stanley $7,900.
