Winners
Lucas Glover – He had not won since claiming the crown at the Wells Fargo in 2011. Almost 10 years later, Glover got it done in Illinois with a final-round 64. He moved from 12th place into first in the final round, finishing off his fourth PGA Tour victory.
Ryan Moore – While he didn’t win, Moore showed some signs of life this week that we had not seen from him in a while. His T2 marked the best finish of the season for him and it got him without shouting distance (currently 136th) of the playoffs.
Adam Schenk – While he was not able to earn his first PGA Tour win on the weekend, it was still a very good week for Schenk. His T4 moved him up 26 places in the FedEx Cup standings and, currently, into the postseason.
Kevin Na – He wasn’t able to get that sixth PGA Tour win on Sunday, but Na did move up 10 spots in the FedEx Cup standings and into 30th place. For a guy looking to make a return trip to East Lake, that Top 30 is very important.
Seamus Power – Perhaps the hottest player on tour that is flying under the radar, Power did it again this week. His T9 was his fifth straight Top 20 finish. He’s also now 123rd in the FedEx Cup standings after his recent run of success.
Losers
Brian Harman – Many, including yours truly, thought Harman could win this week at a site where he is a past champion. Instead, he shot 70-71 to miss the cut.
Alex Noren – After a solid week in Detroit, the veteran Swede was looking to build on that momentum. But he couldn’t do it, shooting 70-70 to miss the weekend.
Brandon Hagy – He was really good for the first three rounds. But when it counted on Sunday, Hagy slipped to a 73 and dropped into a tie for 18th after starting the day one shot off the lead.
Kevin Streelman – It’s been a good year for the veteran, but not this week. In a field where he should have been competing to win, Streelman instead missed the cut.
Kris Ventura – He was once thought of as a rising star in the game. But Ventura has struggled lately and this week was much of the same. He shot 76-74 to miss the cut by a wide margin.
