The PGA Tour returns to the golf schedule after a one week absence! This week, Fantasy golf fans will be presented with one of the more prestigious events on the PGA Tour schedule, the 2021 WGC FedEx St. Jude Invitational.

Before I discuss my fantasy golf player selections I wanted to emphasize that the purpose of this article is not to provide a specific lineup. Having stated that, this article will provide multiple player options in an effort to assist the reader in generating a unique lineup that will hopefully have the potential to win a Draftkings GPP (guaranteed prize pool) contest!

*It should be noted that this week’s WGC FedEx St. Jude Invitational is unlike most events played on the PGA Tour. This week’s tournament will not have the standard cut after two rounds. Additionally, only 66 players will be in the field. That means that all 66 golfers will play all four rounds.

Here are my Draftkings/fantasy golf player selections for the WGC FedEx St. Jude Invitational.

Louis Oosthuizen $9,600

The 38 year old South African has quite simply been playing some outstanding golf. Since the beginning of May, Oosthuizen has played six tournaments on the PGA Tour. In those six events just mentioned, Louis Oosthuizen has accumulated five top eight finishes, including a second place result at the 2021 U.S. Open.

In relation to this week’s current listed 2021 WGC FedEx St. Jude Invitational field, in the last 12 rounds played on the PGA Tour, Oosthuizen ranks fifth in GIR (greens in regulation), eighth in bogey avoidance, and fifth in birdie or better percentage.

I also like the fact that Louis Oosthuizen has performed well at this week’s event in the past. Oosthuizen finished sixth at the 2020 WGC FedEx St. Jude Invitational.

Patrick Cantlay $9,300

The American has accumulated three top 15 finishes in his last four tournaments played on the PGA Tour, including a win at the 2021 Memorial Tournament in June.

In relation to this week’s current listed 2021 WGC FedEx St. Jude Invitational field, in the last 12 rounds played on the PGA Tour, Cantlay ranks third in GIR (greens in regulation), fourth in strokes gained tee to green, and second in strokes gained around the green.

Harris English $7,600

The 32 year old arrives at this week’s PGA Tour event in rather good form. More specifically, English has three top 14 finishes in his last five tournaments played, including a win at the Travelers Championship. I would not be surprised at all if English was holding the winner’s trophy on Sunday afternoon.

Aaron Rai $6,300

Rai plays the majority of his professional golf on the European Tour. Rai has two top 19 finishes in his last four events played, including a 19th place result at the Open Championship three weeks ago. Aaron Rai arrives on the Draftkings slate at a very friendly price point ($6,300). Having stated that, I think Rai presents outstanding fantasy golf value this week.

Additional golfers I like this week: Scottie Scheffler $9,100: Daniel Berger $9,200: Brian Harman $7,500.
