The PGA Tour heads to Memphis this week for the WGC-FedEx St. Jude Classic. Many of the world’s best players are in this week’s field.

There will be plenty of star power all over the course this week. Here are five groups to watch on Thursday and Friday.

More from Pro Golf Now

Justin Rose, Xander Schauffele, Justin Thomas (Thursday, 11:54 ET; Friday, 10:48 ET) – This is a big week for Rose, who currently sits 134 in the FedEx Cup standings. Schauffele is coming off an impressive win at the Olympic golf championship in Japan. Thomas, on the other hand, was not great in Japan and will be looking to bounce back.

Harris English, Hideki Matsuyama, Collin Morikawa (Thursday, 11:43 ET; Friday, 10:37 ET) – English is currently fifth in the FedEx Cup standings and could do himself a world of good this week. Matsuyama will be trying to bounce back from a disappointing finish in his home country last week. Morikawa rallied to get into the bronze medal playoff last week before coming up short, but he still leads the FedEx Cup standings.

Brooks Koepka, Rory McIlroy, Jordan Spieth (Thursday, 10:59 ET; Friday, 11:54 ET) – Koepka is definitely one to watch this week. He loves this venue and has performed well here before. McIlroy seemed really close last week in Japan and he may be gearing up for a postseason run. Spieth has been good all season and is currently second in the FedEx Cup standings.

Bryson DeChambeau, Dustin Johnson, Cameron Smith (Thursday, 10:48 ET; Friday, 11:43 ET) – DeChambeau missed the Olympics due to COVID but will look to bounce back this week. DJ has fared well in Memphis during his career and could use a kick-start in his FedEx Cup title defense. Smith does not get the respect he deserves as one of the best players in the world. He could enhance his profile here.

Patrick Cantlay, Viktor Hovland, Louis Oosthuizen (Thursday, 10:37 ET; Friday, 11:32 ET) – Cantlay is currently third in the FedEx Cup standings. Hovland was up-and-down in Japan last week but has generally been very solid. Oosthuizen continues to contend every time he tees it up on tour.
