The race for the FedEx Cup playoffs is nearly over but several spots have not yet been determined. At the Wyndham Championship this week, the final spots in the postseason will be secured.

There are a number of players on the bubble to get into the playoffs. We will break down those players this week as we look at the PGA Tour Bubble Boys.

C.T. Pan would not be someone we were talking about if not for his performance at the Olympic Games in Tokyo. There, Pan surprised everyone by winning the large playoff for the bronze medal.

It has not been a great season for Pan on the PGA Tour. He has started 25 times and made 13 cuts. He has five Top 25 finishes and two Top 10s. His best showing was a T3 at the Honda Classic back in March.

Lately, outside of his performance at the Olympics, Pan has not been great. He has missed his last three cuts and has fallen to No. 119 in the FedEx Cup standings.

Pan, who earned his only PGA Tour victory at the 2019 RBC Heritage, could use a good showing this week. He missed the playoffs last season and does not want to be in that situation again.

From 2017-2019, Pan made the playoffs each season. He finished 88th in 2017 before finishing a career-best 35th in 2018. The following season, Pan was 37th in the final standings.

Pan is not widely considered one of the best players on the PGA Tour so making the playoffs is a big deal to him. At the Wyndham Championship this week, Pan needs to focus on making the cut first, then letting the chips fall where they may. If he can make it to the weekend, he should be in good shape to make it to the postseason.
